  6. Fran,
This is Carrie's friend Starr. I would like to say, speaking from experience, DO NOT run from the Grim Reaper. Turn around, look straight at him and say " Give me your best shot, Mo Fo!" THEN......KICK HIS ASS!
I am sending huge amounts of positive thoughts your way. Stay strong.

If you see the Grim Reaper around you just tell the OLE COUTE the same thing you use to tell us when we were kids, that you will throw him in the BIG BLACK HOLE FOR DIRTY LIARS!!That oughta make him think twice!

  10. Hi Fran!
I'm Ed's Aunt Linda - the one who has NHL. I was diagnosed in 2001 with a relapse in 2003 and it's back again, but behaving itself right now - staying small.
There have been so many new discoveries in cancer the last few years -
For my own kind- Bcell indolent (slow-growing), the best drug to hit the market hsa been Rituximab (rituxan). I give it credit for my still being here.
Bev, Ed's Mom tells me you've been diagnosed with both Hodgkins and NHL - something I've never heard of.
Am anxious to follow the journey with you, if you don't mind. I know the hell you're dealing with right now and will be with the treatment.
If you need/want to keep in touch, I'd be glad to help in any way I can.
I can tell you that knowledge is one of the keys to getting through this. Find the answers to all the questions you have. Ask your oncologist, nurses, etc... It lightens the weight so you can run faster!!!
My thoughts and prayers will be with you.

    Linda
